STORIS Management Systems announced that Bradford Management Services. Inc.. Nashville, Tennessee has signed an agreement to purchase its Retail Management Software. STORIS will provide general management functions including administration, financial relations, risk management, data processing etc. to Bradford Furniture Company, Inc., a 110 year old Nashville interior design and retail furniture operation and to Bradford Showroom, Inc. with furniture showrooms in Memphis and Jackson, Tennessee. "Purchasing STORIS. knowing that their software has always been Year 2000 compliant, gives us a great deal of comfort and security heading into the next millennium. We also look forward to now having an integrated, real-time system operating in our stores. With this type of software we will be afforded improved and timely management reporting capabilities with which we can improve or decision making in each store. Lastly, we believe that STORIS will give us a platform on which we can grow our business through the next century." stated J. Terry Olive, Chief Executive Officer of all three corporations. Although these two are entirely separate corporations, they have in common their emphasis on interior design services and their operations as high-end, special order retailers in their respective markets. In addition to purchasing the base retail management system, Bradford purchased STORIS' A/R revolving and collections, hand held bar code, credit card authorization, EIS Financials and Merchandising (an advanced PC report writer). custom floor tag software design, and the new SLS module (Salesperson Laser Scanners). SLS enables the salesperson to scan floor tags eliminating the keypunching of SKU numbers and, in turn speeds point of service processing.
