Internationally acclaimed designer Connie Post is introducing an industry-first this Market: Accessories Designed by a Woman for a Woman (TM). Featuring fresh and innovative designs at moderate prices, the collection includes framed pictures and mirrors manufactured by Patton Picture & Mirror Co., and florals by Distinctive Designs. From Southwestern to Coastal, Traditional to Cottage, Accessories Designed by a Woman for a Woman will accommodate every lifestyle. And, with 220 pictures and mirrors to choose from, and 30 exquisite florals, the possibilities are endless. "This is one of my most exciting endeavors," Post says. "Whether designing retail furniture stores, florals, or beautiful artwork, I am passionate about creating designs that sell product, yet remain affordable. Accessories Designed by a Woman for a Woman will give every woman the opportunity to bring beauty and style into her home." During Market here, Patton Pictures & Mirror Co., will devote its entire showroom, located in Showplace! Space J30 and 31, to Accessories Designed by a Woman for a Woman, while Distinctive Designs will create a special area in its showroom in the C & D Building, Space 4A. According to Post, the floral collection will include dramatic European and Asian influenced designs, a major presentation in monochromatics; and several glamorous, oversized statement pieces. Interestingly enough, this collaboration with Distinctive Designs is not Post's first foray into florals. "My first job, while still a high school student, was as a floral designer for Arts Floral Go., in Dunbar, WV in 1971," Post remembers. "God has given me a wonderful gift and I have been lucky enough to put it to work throughout the design industry. Working with Patton Pictures and Distinctive Designs to create accents that will complete a 'perfect' environment has been truly thrilling."
