Seasoned Veteran, Gary Boardman Joins STORIS' Sales Team

STORIS Management Systems announced today the hiring of Gary Boardman as a Regional Sales Manager for the Appliance & Electronics Industry. Mr. Boardman will be responsible for all retailers on the West Coast as well as those with sales of 30 million and over throughout the entire country. "Due to Gary's extensive background in big ticket retail and information systems lie will certainly be a huge asset to STORIS' sales force," states Jay Landau, National Sales Manager for STORIS, "We are very pleased to have Gary on our team. His customers will benefit greatly from his years of experience in designing and implementing systems for large appliance dealers." Mr. Boardman has spent the past 24 years honing his skills in big-ticket retail and information systems. As the Director of Information Systems for a Pennsylvania based retailer, Gary was involved with the design and development of an integrated voice and data information system for real-time multi-site systems that included a radio frequency automated distribution facility. "My goal," states Gary, "is to bring greater profitability to the big ticket retail industry through the propagation of the STORIS software technology. Increased productivity will enable retailers to reach higher profit levels through business automation and greater customer service." Gary started in furniture and appliance sales in 1975, spending 12 years in Store Management, Advertising, and Corporate Site Operations before becoming the Director of Information Systems from 1989 to 1995. Since then he has been pursuing other diverse and varied information system management corporate projects. Gary was awarded a BS in Business Administration from Bloomsburg State College in 1975 and conferred an MBA in Operations, Management from the University of Scranton in 1984. He is married with three children and et joys outdoor activities.
