The Internation Home Furnishings Representatives Association announced last week that Bill Feldman, CHR, has been installed as its 61st President. The installation took place at the conclusion of the 65th Anniversary Presidential Gala and Board of Directors' Meeting held here at the String and Splinter Club Saturday, March 13, 1999.
Feldman, who has previously served IHFRA as vice-president, secretary/treasurer and on the Association's Board of Governors, was also president of the Louisiana Home Furnishings Representatives (LHFR) in 1987.
He has been a member of both Associations since 1971 and currently represents Hammary Furniture (Lenoir, NC), Philip Reinisch Company (Chicago, IL) and Richardson Brothers Company (Sheboygan Falls, WI).
Prior to becoming a manufacturers' representative, Feldman was general manager of Feldman Furniture, a Baton Rouge furniture retailer. A resident of Baton Rouge for almost forty years, he and his wife, Gertie now reside near St. Francisville, LA.
IHFRA is a 65-year-old international Association of home furnishings manufacturers' representatives, dedicated to being the resource for education, professional services, legislative advocacy, and communications for their membership and the home furnishings industry.
