Carol House Furniture Upgrades With GERS Sequel System

Missouri-based Carol House Furniture, a long-time customer of GERS Retail Systems, is the latest retailer to choose the advanced technology of the GERS Sequel System to simplify its day-to-day operations.
Carol House is enhancing its software capabilities after using the GERS RDOS system since 1985. The home furnishings retailer will be utilizing the Batch Bar Code, Point-of-Sale (POS), Sequel Flash, and Customer Service modules. Their reasons for purchasing and upgrading to the new system include a desire to streamline their warehouse with a bar coding process, to cut down on time involved in sales order processing and to increase memory capacity.
Amy Dubman, vice president of Carol House, says it was only natural for them to choose GERS when it came time to upgrade. "We've had good experiences with GERS all these years so we felt comfortable taking the next step," said Dubman. "We also asked other retailers we know and discovered that GERS has a really good reputation."
Carol House Furniture, a second-generation, family-run retailer in business for 34 years, is headquartered in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and has two stores and one warehouse in its 130 employee business.
"I think our system is perfect for a retailer like Carol House," said GERS Vice President Dennis Conforto. "We have so much to offer them and can save them significant manpower hours. I think they'll like what they see from their upgrade." In the future Carol House is expected to be outsourcing special projects to GERS.
