American Furniture Hall Of Fame Seeks Nominations And Celebrates First Decade

The American Furniture Hall of Fame announced that NOMINATIONS FOR THE ADDITION OF PERMANENT MEMBERS WILL BEGIN ON JUNE 1, 1999 AND CLOSE ON JULY 1, 1999. This his will be a celebrations of the tenth year of elections to the American Furniture Hall of Fame.
AFHF sponsors nominate leaders who have made notable contributions to the development and growth of the American furniture industry. Candidates can be nominated posthumously.
The portraits of the 42 members of the American Furniture Hall of Fame are mounted on the AFHF Wall in the Furniture Discovery Center, High Point, North Carolina.
Voting will take place from September 1 through September 15, 1999. The newly elected members will be inducted and honored during the AFHF Banquet Gala on opening day of furniture market, Thursday, October 14, 1999 in High Point, North Carolina.

"All sectors of the industry including manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, sales representatives and furniture designers are eligible to be nominated as members and can become sponsors," says Rodney England, president of England/Corsair Inc and the president of the American Furniture Hall of Fame. "The AFHF was organized to honor those individuals whose outstanding achievements have contributed to the continued growth and development of the American furniture industry. It is vital that industry leaders become sponsors so that they can identify, nominate and vote for those most deserving of this honor."
