New Century Picture Corporation, leading designers and manufacturers of quality framed art and distinctive wall décor products, based in Chicago, has named Stanford F. (Stan) Terry to the top job as President of the company. Terry joined Jerry Sharlin, who founded the company 16 years ago, just a year ago as the company’s C.O.O. In his first year Terry has been working directly with customers, sales representatives, as well as managing the daily administration of the company in Chicago. He works closely with National Sales Manager, Merrill Sharpes, whom Sharlin & Terry retained six months ago. Sharpes, who is based in the company’s west coast office in Los Angeles comments, "Stan is a terrific guy. He brings to this industry a high degree of professionalism … I think that the customers truly appreciate working with him." According to Jerry Sharlin, who has recently been named the new Chairman of New Century Picture, "Stan has just done a terrific job for New Century in his first year with the company." Sharlin says that Stan Terry’s background and experiences in other industries has been an attribute to his role at New Century Picture and as president, his background and vision will help steer the company into the new century. Continuing Sharlin remarks, "Stan has a remarkable understanding of this business, considering his short tenure. He has a unique ability to recognize the vehicles that this company must employ to move forward." Rounding out the management team at New Century Picture is Jason Kasal, who is the company’s Design Director. Kasal and the design team at New Century Picture introduced over 300 new items last month in High Point. Kasal says that the theme for the new millennium is definitely a global one. The company is showcasing new designs inspired by African themes, Turkish, and Asian. One of the company’s best new introductions was a unique collection of miniature Oriental Rugs, which are framed and under glass with distinctive details. The company also highly rated a series of Limited Editions original Gicleé that featured dramatic digital images in bold colors and fine details and are offered on an assortment of both contemporary and traditional designs. The company also unveiled a new line of upscale decorative mirrors to accommodate clientele who are looking for mirrors for large spaces. Several new mirrors feature wide mouldings, inch and a half bevels, and sizes in the 46" by 60" range at approximately $600 suggested retails. In other company news, New Century Picture has announced that its Web site at www.newcenturypicture.com is now online on the Internet. The company hopes to direct consumer interest in its products back to its participating customers and utilize the site as a place where its representatives and customers can meet and communicate and share visual information.
