GERS Retail Systems Celebrates Third Quarter Successes

GERS Retail Systems, a leading retail solution provider, reported significant sales increases across all of its business units as the third quarter of fiscal 1997 comes to a close. Continuing to drive written sales, GERS announced tangible gains with a 54 percent increase. The company's unit sales were up by 65 percent above its 1996 third quarter numbers. GERS Retail Systems has clients in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Japan, ranging from one-store operations to Top 100 retailers. The company is made up of five business units, each dedicated to serving a niche marketplace: Home Furnishings saw a 51 percent increase over 1996 third quarter The Home Furnishings' Sequel Lite division offered a year-to date increase of 73 percent Consumer Electronics/Wireless showed the largest improvement with 134 percent increase in year-to-date totals General Retail announced an average sales increase of 35 percent Professional Services saw a year-to-date sales increase of 41 percent GERS Retail Systems provides fully integrated, Open Systems computer solutions software, hardware, and comprehensive training for the General/Specialty, Big Ticket Home Furnishings, Consumer Electronics/Wireless, and Major Appliance retail industries.
