Former Sears Executive Joins -Based Design & Consulting Firm, The Retail Group

The Retail Group announced that Jim Copitzky has joined The Retail Group as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the company. In this capacity, he will play an important role in crafting The Retail Group's strategy for the future as well as in overseeing all company operations. Mr. Copitzky's career has bridged thirty-two years of extensive retail experience. Most recently, he served as President and CEO of Ohio-based Sun Television & Appliances and previously was the Vice President of Sears home appliance division. His experience ranges from store management to senior executive positions including strategy development and format design. Additionally, Dan Enwright has joined The Retail Group as Store Planning Manager after leaving a position with Cincinnati, OH design firm FRCH and Casey Cram has joined The Retail Group from Eddie Bauer as Graphic Design Manager. Anne Croney and Greg Arhart have been promoted to the position of Co-Design Directors at The Retail Group. The Retail Group is an eleven-year old, Seattle-based strategic planning and design firm. Current clients of The Retail Group include Sears, Roebuck & Co., Baskin-Robbins USA, Bassett Furniture, Florsheim, AirTouch Cellular and the M&M/Mars Corporation.
