From 7th to 11th May 1999, more than 1,600 suppliers from over 50 countries will present their ranges at interzum '99, the world's largest and most important trade fair for furniture production and wood interiors in Cologne. Over 70 percent of the exhibiting companies come from abroad, i.e. alongside some 450 German companies, approx. 1,150 suppliers from all over the world will be present. The biggest foreign contingent traditionally comes from Italy: around 370 Italian companies will exhibit at interzum '99. France will be represented with over 100 companies, Spain with over 70 and Great Britain with approx. 65 firms. Over 80 suppliers will come from Scandinavia and the Baltic states. Over 100 suppliers each from Asia and from North America will exhibit at Cologne. interzum '99 is building on the success of the 1997 event: at interzum '97, over 60,000 trade visitors from 116 countries were brought together with the supply of 1,613 companies from 50 countries. interzum is characterized, on the one hand, by its internationality in terms of exhibitors and visitors, and on the other, by the diversity of its range presented in each of the product sectors. Only interzum offers a comprehensive overview of the new products and trends in furniture production, in the upholstery sector as well as in the area of floors, walls and ceilings design. No other event anywhere in the world even comes close to matching the breadth and depth of the range at this fair. A comprehensive support program - with special shows, lectures and conferences -rounds off the range of the exhibitors. With decovision köln '99, the new trend forum for the suppliers of cover fabrics and leather as well as their customers from the upholstered furniture and chair industry, interzum is being further developed on a design-oriented basis. decovision will be held from 7 th to 9th May 1999, i.e. on the first three days of the five-day interzum. With decovision '99, KölnMesse is taking into account the wish of the international furniture sector to be able to combine the visit to interzum with the sampling of the new fabric and leather collections.
