LaDifference International Home Furnishings of Richmond, Virginia To Celebrate Grand Opening on March 20th

LaDifference International Home Furnishings of Richmond, Virginia will host a Black Tie Gala for its friends on Saturday, March 20th. The retail store, specializing in classic contemporary home furnishings, is celebrating the Grand Opening of its new quarters in the historic Watkins-Cottrell building. Partners Sarah Paxton, Andy Thornton and Ivor Massey purchased the building at 14th and Dock Streets in Richmond last spring. After an extensive $5million renovation, the new LaDifferrence boasts 45,000 square feet of retail space, 15,000 square feet of warehouse space and an indoor parking area.
Industry representatives and principals from Denmark, Italy, England, Canada and across the states are expected to attend. Highlights of the evening include dinner and dancing -music by 2 bands; food and beverages provided by 7 area restaurants and a local vintner; and a benefit auction featuring over 100 items. Proceeds of the auction will benefit two organizations that help children - The East District Family Resource Center, which works to improve the mental health of Richmond's inner city children and the Richmond-based, Christian Children's Fund, which helps children in every hemisphere. Natuzzi, American Leather, McCreary Modern, Thayer Coggin, Ekornes, T. Copeland, Baronet, Club 8, Comfort Designs, Becker Designs, Currey and Co., George Kovacs, Jesper, Johnston Casuals, Spring Air and a host of European manufacturers have generously donated over $35,000 worth of merchandise to the auction.
