AFMA Finance Division Elects New Officers And Directors To Division Board Of Directors:

The Finance Division of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association (AFMA) announces the election of officers and directors to the Division Board of Directors. The elections were held at the Division Annual Meeting, June 19 - 21 in Orlando, FL. Division Officers for the 1997 - 1998 term are as follows: Thomas R. Lyons, Vice President-Finance for Universal Furniture Industries Inc. in High Point, NC will serve as Division President. Sam D. George, Jr., Controller for Alexvale Furniture, Inc. in Taylorsville, NC will serve the division as First Vice President. John Farrelly, CFO of Richardson Industries, Inc. based in Sheboygan Falls, WI will serve as Second Vice President. W. Eugene Matthews, Jr., Vice President/CFO of Harden Manufacturing Corp. in Haleyville, AL moves to the position of Chairman of the Board for the division. New members to the division's Board of Directors were also chosen at the Annual Meeting. The following individuals will serve on the Board of Directors: Gary D. Cogdill, Treasurer, Johnston Casuals, North Wilkesboro, NC; Talmage Fish, Manager-Information Systems, Hooker Furniture Corp, Martinsville, VA.; Warren G. Lowder, Vice President/CFO, The Lane Co, Inc., Altavista, VA.; Michael Powers, Vice President-Finance, Sherrill Furniture Co., Hickory, NC; and Robin White, Secretary/Treasurer, The Alan White Co., Inc., Stamps, AR.
