Shaw Living’s premier collection of modern and contemporary designs, Impressions, has six new styles as well as additional colorations of three existing designs. The heavy, buttery-soft hand combined with a lustrous yarn system, rich vibrant color and dimensional emphasis, make Impressions a stand-alone collection. The collection of 24 sophisticated patterns and distinctive motifs, from organic to geometric, is further embellished with a “carving” effect which adds dimension and value beyond all other contemporary products in the market, especially in this price point. The hi-lo weaving technique that gives this visual and tactile contour to the surface of the rug intensifies the depth and richness of the rug’s design elements. The lustrous olefin yarn enhances the dimensional quality of the collection. Offered in a bold color palette of brilliant reds, clean shades of soft green, oceanic blue, deep purple, espresso brown and golden shades of ivory, Impressions newest designs include “Forest”, “Dunes”, “Lucidity”, “Maple”, “Vision”, and “Zing Garden”. “Maple” is a large-scale, stylized leaf design with a deep, rich background of espresso and black striation. The bold, yet uncluttered design is enhanced with Impressions signature “carved” effect which adds dimension and texture. “Forest” projects larger-than-life imagery of stylized leaves with small lavender blossoms on a rich espresso field. Varied in scale and coloration, the organic elements overlay one another, revealing their transparency in light and shadow. “Grid Block” provides form and order with its symmetrical array of colorful squares, perfectly balanced by the carved beige field etched with square repeats. Two new colors, black and red, have been added to this popular design. Impressions rugs are machine crafted of the plush olefin fiber in a Wilton woven construction.
