Casa Novalia Leather™ to Debut at October Market

Upscale Italian manufacturer, Excelsior Designs continues its dramatic expansion at the International Home Furnishings Market in October. Not only is the company expanding its showroom with additional prime real estate in the Design Center of the International Home Furnishings Center, it will debut an extensive new line of Italian-made leather upholstery. The leather collection will be sold and marketed under the Casa Novalia Leather™ brand. Casa Novalia is the lifestyle division of Excelsior Designs which employs the use of mixed media materials such as exotic veneers, stainless, glass, and leather. Steven Kayne, president of Excelsior Designs, made the announcement, saying, “We are very much focused on doing what we do best. We offer our retailers consistent, dependable service and quality craftsmanship that only Italian manufacturing facilities can provide. This strategy has been rewarding, as our business has seen double digit growth in recent years.” Casa Novalia Leather will launch with 11 frame styles and over 50 different leathers. Styles range from ultra-contemporary to more transitional frames. The line is expected to be well received by not only Excelsior Designs and Casa Novalia’s current retailers but interest is expected from specialty upholstery retailers and department stores as well. Retail prices for a sofa will start at $1995. Design Director for the company, Bobbie Burns Hughes, stated, “We are thrilled to be offering these new furnishings to our customer base…those who appreciate high quality and cutting edge style. A broad assortment of leathers will be available in both classic colors and fashion forward hues.” Select frames will feature metal or wood legs and accents, while others will be fully upholstered. The assortment includes sofas, loveseats, chairs, matching ottomans, sectionals, accent items, and a sleep sofa. Kayne further stated, “Beginning with this leather debut, we will launch our most comprehensive sales programs ever while also introducing new and exciting collections throughout the coming year. We will be adding sales representatives nationally, especially individuals with upholstery and leather experience.
