World Market Center, Las Vegas, sponsors Pinnacle Awards

The World Market Center, Las Vegas, becomes the first industry exhibition complex to sponsor the Pinnacle Design Achievement Awards, the industry’s highest recognition presented annually by the American Society of Furniture Designers. In addition, the new market center, which holds its inaugural market next July, will promote the ASFD traveling exhibit of the 2004-2005 design award finalists and winners, as an education initiative in conjunction with selected furniture retailers. “We commend the World Market Center for the courage of seizing an obvious opportunity to become a significant advocate for the importance of design,” said Karl Felperin, chairman of the Pinnacle Awards. “With enthusiasm, the Las Vegas market came to us saying they wanted to help promote design and the role of designs.
