Hickory Hill Furniture Corporation, a leading supplier for more than 1,000 independent furniture dealers, is introducing a new program of furniture upholstered in Sunbrella® brand fabrics, a leading performance fabric that offers fade resistance, durability and ease of cleaning for today’s active lifestyles.
The new Sunbrella Collection from Hickory Hill, which will be supported by a full merchandising program, will debut at a special reception that Hickory Hill is sponsoring for its dealers and the press on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. in the Hickory Hill showroom on the fourth floor of the National Building in High Point.
“The Sunbrella Collection will serve as an excellent complement for our other program lines,” said Teddie Walker, director of program marketing with Hickory Hill. “Sunbrella provides the performance that consumers are looking for today, along with styling and colors that rival the finest in interior fabrics.”
Sunbrella brand fabrics have long been recognized as a leading fabric for outdoor furniture applications. During the past two years, supported by increased styling sophistication available through jacquard weaving and unique yarn constructions, Sunbrella has become an option for interior residential applications as well.
“We believe the timing is perfect for the launch of the Sunbrella Collection from Hickory Hill ,” Walker said. “Consumers are asking for furniture fabrics that are not only beautiful but also made for today’s active lifestyles with kids, pets and lots of light streaming into the home. Sunbrella fits this need perfectly with color, styling and performance.”
The new Sunbrella Collection from Hickory Hill will initially include five colors in 16 patterns. The styling emphasis is identified as Lifestyle/Urban/Suncoast, with Sunbrella fabrics featured on collections of sofas, chairs and ottomans.
A full merchandising program will support dealers who select the Sunbrella Collection from Hickory Hill. This program will include hang tags, cover linen, brochures, pillow display and brochure holders.
“While consumers are familiar with Sunbrella as a high performance outdoor fabric, they are not as familiar with the new story of Sunbrella – a high performance fabric choice for interiors,” said Lew English, vice president of marketing for Hickory Hill. “Our merchandising package will help dealers do a better job of selling through this story of performance and styling.”
