SunBelt Furniture Xpress International recently participated in a special workshop with the Singapore Furniture Industries Council. Designed to establish Singapore as a premier furniture hub and provide total solutions to the global market, the workshop provided local furniture manufacturers and exporters valuable insights on the latest trends and unique developments of the U.S. furniture market. SBFX International Vice President / General Manager Joe Goering notes enthusiastic council members challenges in getting their programs to the next level. “We have the transportation and logistics infrastructure to help them get their products to the U.S. market, but they will need their own individual sales and marketing plans. It will be important for them to differentiate their product lines, to match up best with the hundreds of retail stores and buying groups”. Workshop attendees also included the following organizations: EDB (Economic Development Board), International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, and the government-funded, investment-based SPRING (Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board).
