Mark Phanco heads Bush Industries' Home Furnishings division

Bush Industries, Inc. (NYSE: BSH), has appointed Mark Phanco to the position of Vice President of Home Furnishing. Mr. Phanco comes to Bush Industries with over 14 years in the home furnishings industry and reports to Dave White, President, Bush North America. Phanco brings a strong background in home furnishings to Bush Industries. Before joining Bush he was Senior Vice President at Ashley Homestores Ltd., where his responsibilities included retail development and sales in Ashley's Millennium division. He has additional managerial and retail experience from previous assignments at Pier 1 Imports and Foley's Dept Store Chain. "Mark brings to Bush not only a solid understanding of the home furnishings industry, but also a keen awareness of the retail environment," said White. "He also has a strong background in the case goods segment, which we will draw upon heavily as we position our Eric Morgan line for continued growth." Phanco is up to the task. He commented, "Bush is adept at sensing what the consumer wants through its retail partners. We have a strong reputation for flexibility, quality and innovative design and the new direction of our Eric Morgan line that we will share at High Point this fall will reinforce this."
