The Junior League of Greensboro, NC, Inc., announced the area designers selected to design interior rooms and exterior landscaping for the Inaugural Designer Showhouse event to take place April 29 – May 15, 2005. The home to be transformed is the 1926 Georgian-style home of Mrs. Anne Sprock. This grand and historic home, located at 815 Woodland Drive in the heart of Old Irving Park has panoramic views of the Greensboro Country Club golf course from several stately bay windows in the kitchen, dining room and den. This event would not be possible without the support of the local community. Carolina Bank has already endorsed the Junior League of Greensboro by becoming the first presenting sponsor at the $20,000 plus level. Bob Braswell, President and CEO of Carolina Bank, said, "We saw our contribution to the Junior League as serving a multitude of purposes: Carolina Bank's contribution continues to support the premier women's leadership group in Greensboro, who have started and maintained so many wonderful programs. When we look at the direction in which our contributions are going, we find the course of the Junior League of Greensboro on the same trend, therefore, by giving to the Junior League of Greensboro, it is an extension of Carolina Bank's philanthropies as the League is supporting the same initiatives that we see the bank supporting". Many other donations have been received, including all paint used in the Designer Showhouse, which was donated by Sherwin Williams.
