Exel, a global leader in supply chain management, today announced it has been named a Top 10 third-party logistics provider by Inbound Logistics magazine as part of the publication's annual "Top 10 Excellence Survey." Exel has been one of the Top 10 providers for the past five years.
Inbound Logistics, one of the key logistics and transportation publications in the United States, chose its Top 10 providers based on reader survey submissions, receiving more than 3,000 votes for 360 logistics providers. Exel was also included in Inbound Logistics' Top 100 3PL companies chart, a comprehensive listing of the logistics, transportation, warehousing, special services, technology and Internet competencies offered by logistics providers.
According to a recent survey of supply chain professionals conducted by MORI, an independent research agency, the demand for an integrated supply chain solutions provider is expected to increase. The survey results confirm that Exel is positioned to meet this market need with a competitively advantaged value proposition.
"Through additional investment in our global coverage, integrated capabilities, people and processes, Exel continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating new value in the supply chain for its customers through innovative contract logistics and freight management solutions," said Bruce Edwards, Exel's divisional chief executive, Consumer, Retail and Healthcare - Americas. "Recognition as a Top 10 3PL by our valued customers and such a respected industry publication confirms our position as one of world's most capable logistics providers."
Exel's global presence and expertise enables the company to deliver customer-focused solutions and integrated operations to more than two-thirds of the world's largest, quoted nonfinancial companies.
