Connie Post has teamed up with Butler Specialty Company to create a broad collection of accent furniture as part of the all-new Affordable Design |by Connie Post comprehensive line of coordinated home furnishings.
The initial 36 pieces in the accent collection will debut in the Butler showroom, IHFC C354, during the International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, N.C., this month. The collection encompasses consoles and tables, curio cabinets and bookcases, secretaries and French writing desks. Post took her design inspiration from beautiful fabrics she has collected during her travels. Pieces feature tone-on-tone colors with iridescent highlights of silk’s sheen, plus tracery of lace and crewelwork and woven patterns translated onto wood.
“I am very excited about these gorgeous accent pieces,” Post said. “Butler is a company with a rich, compelling tradition of excellence, and the craftsmanship and finishes on these accent pieces are impeccable. At the same time, there’s fresh, young attitude that is palpable here, and the pieces we’ve created carry price tags meant to move merchandise. Butler thoroughly grasps the Affordable DesignÔ concept, and I couldn’t have wished for a better partner. There’s no doubt its showroom will be a very ‘bright spot’ at market.”
Butler will celebrate its 75th anniversary at market, marking more than seven decades of producing accent home furnishings exclusively. With 1,000 SKU’s, including 150 new products in High Point, Butler is not only the largest accent line, but also the industry’s design leader – the innovator other companies try to imitate. Butler’s accent home furnishings are designed to be the brightest spots in rooms throughout the home. In styles ranging from traditional to contemporary, these products are crafted from solid woods and veneers with exquisite wood and fossil stone inlays. Many feature authentic hand painting.
“Affordable Design |by Connie Post is a wonderful, and very different, addition to our line,” said Dan Sumner, Butler’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Working with Connie has been a tour de force in creativity. We’re thrilled to be her exclusive brand partner for accent furniture, and we know the collection is going to create enormous excitement and additional traffic in our showroom.”
