Robb & Stucky, the nationally recognized interior design and premier home furnishings retailer, expands its corporate facilities and Florida distribution center. The new headquarters opened its doors to employees on April 25. Located on Plantation Road between Six Mile Cypress and Daniels Parkway in south Fort Myers, the 245,000 square-foot structure is the largest single-use complex in Lee County.
“For 90 years, Fort Myers has been our home and we are delighted to grow and flourish along with this community,” stated Clive Lubner, chief executive officer for Robb & Stucky. “Robb & Stucky is thrilled to expand into a state-of-the-art facility while keeping our roots planted in Southwest Florida.”
The industrial structure’s exterior exhibits many geometric accents including a curved aluminum awning over the porte-cochere, glass blocks span the first floor and large picture windows flood the second floor with natural light. Inside, the décor is casual elegance, combining muted earth tones and natural materials with heavy-duty steel staircases. Corporate headquarters will encompass 35,000 square feet and the warehouse/distribution portion exceeds 210,000 square feet.
According to Fred Berk, president & chief operating officer for the company, “The success of Robb & Stucky has allowed us to grow according to the needs of our clients. The new headquarters will enhance our efficiency and support our client-focused philosophy by incorporating customer service, the distribution facility and corporate headquarters under one roof.”
The corporate headquarters of Robb & Stucky were formerly located on the second floor of the Fort Myers showroom on Cleveland Avenue. The free space will expand the showroom’s design services providing the flagship store with an additional 15,000 square feet. The area will be utilized for private meeting rooms for clients and designers to collaborate as well as increase the store’s design resources including floor and wall coverings and window treatments.
