The International Wood Products Association (IWPA) unveils the second edition of Imported Wood "The Guide to Applications, Sources and Trends" during the AWFS Fair in Las Vegas July 27-30, 2005.
Reaching 15,000 key decision makers involved in the specification, manufacture and import of wood products in North America, Imported Wood remains unique to trade publications. The publication focuses on imported wood use in the U.S. market, educates on sustainable forest management practices and emerging issues in developing countries, and provides readers sources for these wood products.
"This is the ‘one-stop shop’ for the wood products industry. In its second year, we continue to bring fresh perspectives on imported wood use, along with demonstrating how imported woods are being used to complement many products produced in the United States," stated Sergio Korn, IWPA’s 2005-2006 President.
“As companies search for new ways to satisfy their customer’s expectations and improve their bottom lines, it’s very likely that imports will be in the picture in some way,” added Korn.
“We’ve targeted this publication to all key imported wood using product segments, from homebuilding, cabinet, RV and manufactured housing, to architectural, moulding and millwork, decking and flooring manufacturers and distributors." added Brent McClendon, IWPA Executive Vice President.
Imported Wood includes a reference section for contacting IWPA members for hardwood and softwood lumber and lumber products, decking, flooring, plywood, veneer, and other wood components.
The International Wood Products Association, established in 1956, is the leading international trade association for the North American imported wood products using and distribution industry, representing 210 companies and trade associations engaged in the import of hardwoods and softwoods from sustainably managed forests. Association members consist of three key groups involved in the import process: Offshore manufacturers; U.S. importers, manufacturers and distributors; and the service providers that facilitate trade.
