Legacy Home Furnishings/Rooms Express will open its doors this week in grand form. Joining forces with Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, the grand opening celebration will feature the world’s highest definition HDTVs on display in Legacy’s first-ever Mitsubishi Diamond Home Theater Gallery. Legacy is the largest furniture store in California to integrate consumer electronics and home décor in a state-of-the-art, on-site theater.
The Mitsubishi 1080p DLP HDTV, the most advanced HDTV ever, will show scenes from current, in-theater movie blockbusters live from the first-ever Diamond Home Theater Gallery at Legacy. The Mitsubishi 52”, 72”, 73” TVs boasts more than 2 million pixels, twice that of conventional HDTV.
Founded in 1991 by the Belinsky Family, Legacy Home Furnishings/Rooms Express was purchased in August by Orange County-based Linder’s Furniture, the largest independent retailer in Southern California. Legacy currently has two locations, one in Rancho Mirage plus the Cathedral City store. A new 30,000-square-foot Connie Post designed showroom is also under construction in La Quinta.
“Not only have we joined forces with Mitsubishi, but we have taken it a step further by integrating the home theater gallery, the first-ever on a home furniture showroom floor,” said Linder’s President Eric Foucrier. “It’s a week of firsts for Legacy.”
Founded more than 20 years ago in Torrance, Calif., by owner Phil Linder, Linder’s Furniture is a family-run operation with seven showroom locations throughout Southern California. The acquisition of Legacy last summer makes Linder’s one of the top 80 furniture companies in the United States.
Many Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America dignitaries will be on hand for the press conference, including Mr. Morisada, President of Mitsubishi; Max Wasinger, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing, as well as Frank DeMartin, Vice President of Marketing.
Well-known Southern California radio/TV personality and consumer electronics expert Tom Campbell, who serves as company spokesperson and corporate director for Linders, will also be on hand.
Linder’s has showroom locations in Cerritos, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Laguna Hills, Los Angeles, Torrance and Westminster. For more information please visit www.lindersfurniture.com or www.legacy-homefurnishings.com.
