Denver Mattress Company Aligns With The Salvation Army for Operation: Rest Assured

Denver Mattress Company's 6th annual charity alliance with The Salvation Army comes as a welcome relief to the organization this holiday season. Denver Mattress will launch an in store campaign designed to raise funds specifically for the organization. The campaign entitled: Operation Rest Assured, will raise over $150,000 for the Colorado Chapter of the Salvation Army. The logistics of the campaign consists of $20 being allocated for each mattress sold from the period of November 25 to December 31, 2005 to The Salvation Army. The in store donation will be capped $150,000. In addition, Denver Mattress is underwriting a comprehensive direct donation fundraising awareness effort. This will include both newspaper and television advertising. The Salvation Army is particularly grateful for the funds this campaign will generate this holiday. As a result of multiple world-wide disasters suffered this year, many individuals have already contributed to various charitable organizations. Subsequently, many will find themselves financially unable to make donations this holiday season. This comes as a concern to the Salvation Army, as donations are anticipated to decrease, and heating costs are drastically on the rise. Last year, the heating of just three of the shelters cost approximately $120,000. Corneal Peacock of the Colorado Chapter of the Salvation Army, elaborates on what the donation means this year, "The donations will help The Salvation Army feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, provide assistance to those facing hardships and hope when people are desperate.
