Bob's Discount Furniture spokesperson and television personality Cathy Poulin demonstrated her expertise in dancing the cha-cha and waltz in a statewide dancing competition that was recently held during the Original Connecticut Home Show & Lifestyles Exposition at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, CT.
Featured in the "Dancing For A Cause" competition, Poulin and dance partner Jonathan Stangel quickly captured the attention of the audience as they battled against other Connecticut media personalities on the dance stage floor. After careful deliberations by the judges, Poulin and Stangel placed fourth in the competition. To honor their success, Bob's Discount Furniture provided Poulin and Stangel with a $2,500 contribution for designation to two nonprofit organizations of their choice.
"The whole night was truly magnificent! It seemed like we danced the night away and it all was for a very good cause. We intend to contribute the $2,500 on behalf of Bob's Furniture to the National Pajama Program, a New York City based group that collects and distributes pajamas and books to children who are in need and living in safe havens and foster homes and the Lil' Iguana's Children's Safety Foundation, a Massachusetts based group promoting safety programs," said Poulin.
