Lexington Home Brands, an extensive resource for fashionable, premium-quality home furnishings brands, is returning to serve the design trade in San Francisco. The venerable manufacturer will have an independently owned and operated, trade-only showroom on the premier first floor at the San Francisco Mart.
Lexington’s San Francisco Mart showroom will feature Bob Timberlake, Lexington, Liz Claiborne Home, Nautica, Palmer Home and Woolrich, as well as the best-selling Tommy Bahama collection. Nearly 35 percent of the showroom will be devoted to the classic, personality-rich, vintage-inspired Tommy Bahama furnishings and the soon-to-be-released Jimbaran Bay collection of the Tommy Bahama brand.
“Lexington has always been a designer-oriented line, so we are pleased to have a design showroom at the San Francisco Mart,” says Brad Berlin, independent account manager for Lexington. “Our outstanding brands and their designs present an exceptional value and can be used for a wide variety of residential, hospitality and commercial projects.”
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our designers convenient access to the fine furnishings from Lexington Home Brands,” says Roseann Carini, the San Francisco Mart’s general manager. “In particular, the Tommy Bahama brand, which is very well-developed and constantly diversified, will do very well in the relaxed yet sophisticated lifestyle of Northern California.”
The gallery-style showroom will be open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday throughout the year. The showroom, which will occupy 4,800 square feet in space 117, will be managed by Nancy Rye. Rye brings design, merchandising and buying experience to the position, having worked for Thomasville, Homestead House and Brueners. She will draw upon her experiences to provide exemplary customer service to design professionals as well as to adroitly merchandise and manage the showroom. The showroom opened on April 3, and plans are being made for a Grand Opening Party in May.
The showroom will also be a source for a broad array of accessories, wall décor, lighting and rugs, from companies such as Global Views, Interlude Home, Jenny Silks, Decorative Arts, Go Home, Kinder-Harris, Clay, Metal & Stone, Oriental Weavers, Crystal Clear Lighting, John Richard, Murray Feiss and Waterford. Bedding will also be available from Fleur de Lis, Mystic Valley Traders and Sferra Bros.
A few years ago, Lexington closed its showroom at the San Francisco Design Center, creating a void for the company in Northern California. The independent showroom at the SF Mart is Lexington’s exclusive Northern California design center.
The addition of Lexington adds to the recent successes of the San Francisco Mart, as manufacturers realize the importance of the venue for serving the Northern California design community and the positive impact the design business has on their bottom line. In a nod to this sway, other notable brands have recently expanded at or returned to the SF Mart, including American Drew, American Upholstery, Barcalounger, Hekman, Howard Miller, Josephine Homes, The Platt Collections, Universal and Wesley Allen.
With a history spanning four generations, the San Francisco Mart has a long legacy of providing design professionals and retail buyers with stylish furnishings, great value and meaningful educational opportunities. The SF Mart is located at 1355 Market Street between Ninth and Tenth Streets and is open to retail buyers and design professionals throughout the year.
