After opening its doors a mere three months ago, the first Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store is already making waves and receiving praise in the design world. Metropolitan Home recently honored the store, located in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, as part of its Design 100 list, which recognizes the most noteworthy objects, events and personalities in the world of design. The Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store ranked an honorable twelfth on the list and is the only furniture store in the magazine’s May issue.
“It’s an honor to have the Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store recognized by such a highly regarded and design savvy editorial staff,” said Todd Oldham. “It was a dream of mine to open a store that would showcase this collection’s distinct style, depth and versatility, and I’m delighted with the success we’ve experienced in such a short period of time.”
“We are thrilled to have the Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store recognized for its modern design tastes and unique upholstery, occasional and accessory offerings,” said Jennifer Sievertsen, vice president of brand marketing for La-Z-Boy. “The store will help broaden the collection’s reach and symbolizes its success.”
The store’s January 2006 opening marked the first store solely dedicated to the wildly popular Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy collection of sleek upholstery, distinctive occasionals and fashionable accessories, which was first introduced in October 2003.
Since the collection’s debut, world-renowned designer Todd Oldham and La-Z-Boy have continually expanded the collection of fashion-forward furnishings and home accents, making it the most robust collection in La-Z-Boy history. The store features exclusive accessories and home furnishings, and offers next-day delivery on select upholstery. In addition, signed prints from American artist Charles Harper are available and in-house personnel are on hand to help customers pull it all together.
The Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy store is located at 73 Wooster St., and is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Consumers can visit www.lazboy.com/oldham to view the Todd Oldham by La-Z-Boy collection.
