Harden Furniture will host dealer events throughout the upcoming International Home Furnishings Market in High Point. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and breakfast is planned for 8:00 am on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, in the company’s dedicated showroom, located at 200 N. Hamilton Street, Suite 110, in the Hamilton Wrenn design district.
For the official launch of The Harden Home Studio™, the company’s first branded in-store concept, dealers are invited to attend breakfast seminars Wednesday through Friday, during market dates. Martin Roberts, president of GRID2 International, whose company designed The Harden Home Studio™ and Al Wight, president of Strategic Decisions, who conducted consumer research for Harden, will lead the informational seminars.
Dealers who tested The Harden Home Studio™ prototype, Expo, in stores last fall – including Gallahan’s Furniture of Fredericksburg, Virginia, The Woods at Colts Neck, New Jersey, and Interiors in Lancaster, Pennsylvania – will be on hand at the events to share results, which exceeded retailer expectations in terms of sales, profitability, staff receptivity and consumer response.
The Harden Home Studio™ consists of 1,000 square feet of branded Harden space at retail, each with signage, lighted kiosks, product catalogs, and the selections of fabrics, wood finishes, and hardware that consumers use to customize upholstery and case goods furnishings from the 162-year old manufacturer.
A roll-out of The Harden Home Studio™ to 50 new locations in the U.S. is expected this year.
