The Unfinished Furniture Association (UFA) hosted the twelfth annual National Convention & Trade Show, themed "A Mile High Adventure- Success Starts Here," June 2-4, in the heart of Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. More than 75 exhibiting unfinished and finished furniture manufacturers displayed their products and services to nearly 300 retailer companies nationwide. Highlights of the event included the launch of the Brand Awareness Campaign, "Real Wood Finished Your Way," presentations on Education Day from leading designer, Connie Post, and business coach, Lynn Coffey, quick tip clinics, round tables and general sessions covering hot topics from Setting Up A Professional Finishing Department In Your Store and Making Dollars From Your Competitor to Accessories and Technology For Small Businesses. Seventeen exhibiting companies donated nearly $35,000 worth of unfinished and finished products to a local Denver charity, Mountain States Children’s Home, and numerous companies supported the convention by taking advantage of the sponsorship program.
