P.J. Kids Helps Anchor Vegas Kids---major commitment made to Las Vegas

P.J. Kids is pleased to announce that they have signed a lease with World Market Center in Las Vegas. This move solidifies the presence that P.J. Kids intends to make on the West Coast and participate in a dynamic and exciting venture for the home furnishings industry. P.J. Kids will be one of the anchors in the Vegas Kids area by signing for just over 2000 square feet. P.J. Kids is one of a group of manufacturers that feel being close to your competition is an OK thing! To date, Comfort Research, Vermont Precision, Camelot and Fun Rugs have all signed leases for space in Vegas Kids with Cal Kids, Creative Images, KidKraft, Berg, Flexa, Status and TeaSeaCo finalizing their spaces at this time. "Creating a destination shopping place for the kids business is not new at furniture markets. Showplace Kids in High Point was a first of its kind and with that success, we expect that Vegas Kids will be equally successful, " states Stewart Paul, president of P.J. Kids. "With the consortium of manufacturers that are grouped together to form Vegas Kids, we have established an expectation for the buyers that they can shop in one place and take care of their kids business in one stop. Buyers are being pulled in so many directions these days with the challenge of finding all the new things at market, we have just helped to make their jobs a bit easier," continues Paul. P.J. Kids is dedicated to expanding their presence on the West Coast, supporting their sales representatives and providing the retailers and opportunity to see their extensive line of products first hand. World Market Center provides a new channel of distribution, the perfect venue for this type of exposure. P.J. Kids has been exhibiting in the San Francisco Furniture Market for the past four markets with marginal success. The World Market Center and Vegas Kids is expected to fill the West Coast void that currently exists now. July 2002 will be the last market that P.J. Kids exhibits in San Francisco. "PJ Kids has been disappointed in the San Francisco Furniture Market, with the number of buyers decreasing and more and more exhibitors pulling out, the draw for the retailers is just not there any more," claims Paul. "Las Vegas is a very desirable host city that will attract many buyers due to its accessibility, the abundance of fabulous hotels and certainly the affordability. Las Vegas is well suited and accustomed to hosting trade shows and conventions, " explains Paul. World Market Center is slated to begin construction later this year and plans to have its first market in 2004. P.J.
