Ethan Allen Port Richey, FL Store Raises $2 Million With Store Closing Sale

Closing a store, for the right reason, can be a very astute business decision. Scott Burgess said is best, in a letter dated June 6, 2006 and sent to Chris Lynch at the Daniel Lynch Sales Company. "It's never a pleasant decision when one decides to close a store. But, the fact is that it happens. And when it does, it's reassuring to know that the Daniel Lynch Sales Company is there to provide their usual expertise." Scott Burgess and his family own a chain of Ethan Allen Home Interiors Stores on Florida's gulf coast. In the spring of 2005, they opened a brand new store on South Tamiami Trail, in Sarasota. This new store features an easy-to-shop, informative format, which allows their customers to quickly locate the latest home furnishing designs that best suits them. One of their other stores, located in Port Richey, Florida, was closed in May of 2006 and consolidated into their other area stores. In order to maximize this consolidation, Scott Burgess decided to hire the Daniel Lynch Sales Company and have a "Great $2 Million Store Closing Sale." Burgess was able to turn what some consider a negative situation into a positive one. He further writes: "What a Sale we had. We did almost 60% of our annual volume in 5 weeks, while maintaining reasonable gross margins! John Topper (Daniel Lynch Coordinator) has a professional demeanor along with the always-appreciated, and often times needed, sense of humor. Who says you can't make money and have fun while you're doing it!" The Daniel Lynch Sales Company has coordinated numerous Sales Events for the Burgess family. The third generation, family owner company was established in 1914 and is known throughout the furniture industry as a Sales Promotion firm that works with the better stores, throughout the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom.
