Kimball International Adds New Officer; Stan Sapp To Lead Kimball Home Furniture Sales And Marketing Efforts

Kimball International, Inc. (NASDAQ: KBALB) has announced the hiring and appointment of Stan Sapp as Vice President and General Manager for Kimball Home Furniture. The addition of Sapp to the management team of this key business unit will further support the strategic direction and growth objectives of Kimball International’s furniture brands business. Making the announcement, Dan Miller, President of Kimball Office Group and Executive Vice President of Kimball International, stated, "The home furnishings market is an important and growing piece of our business. Sapp assumes responsibility for all aspects of sales, marketing and support operations for Kimball Home. Focusing on long-range executive development of Kimball International’s management team continues to be a priority, according to Kimball International Chairman and CEO, Doug Habig, noting that internal leadership strength has been supplemented with new hires to create the next era of Kimball leaders. Prior to joining Kimball, Sapp recently served as President and CEO of Aspen Furniture LLC in Phoenix, Arizona, with previous experience in finance, sales, marketing, manufacturing, operations, and general management for such companies as American Drew, Mannington Ceramic and Wysong & Miles. His earlier career was with Peat, Marwick, Main & Co., where he served as Senior Auditor, earning valuable perspective of the furniture and textile manufacturing, real estate and banking industries. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a B.S. degree in Business/Accounting.
