AFMA Suppliers Division Names Six Scholarship Winners.

The Suppliers Division of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association has named this year's winners in its annual scholarship program.
The winners are Crystal Bryson, daughter of Pamela Bryson, Stanley Furniture, Stanleytown, Va.; Paula Clark, daughter of Pauline Clark, Lane Home Furnishings, Tupelo, Miss.; Michael Crunk, son of Donna Crunk, Rowe Furniture, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Cynthia Lange, daughter of Daniel Lange, Flexsteel Industries, Dubuque, Iowa; Graciela Loza, daughter of Bruna Loza, Klaussner Furniture, Candor, N.C.; and Heidi Tumberg, daughter of Roger Tumberg, Homecrest Industries, Wadena, Minn.
The scholarship program is open to children of regular, full-time employees of AFMA member companies. It awards six one-year scholarships of $2,000 each. The one-year scholarships, based on financial need and merit of the student, are awarded to students age 21 or under who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in a four-year college or university, a junior or community college, or a vocational or technical school.
To raise money for the scholarships, AFMA's Suppliers Division is holding its annual Carolina's Golf Tournament at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, N.C., on June 4. Nearly 170 golfers turned out for last's event. All golfers represented AFMA supplier or manufacturer member companies.
The American Furniture Manufacturers Association is headquartered in High Point, N. C. - the furniture capital of the world - and represents more than 200 leading US. furniture manufacturers and an additional 250 suppliers to the industry.
