Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center is one of the main sponsors of Interior Design magazine’s 2006 Hall of Fame Awards, scheduled for Nov. 29, 2006 at the Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom in New York City. Victor Pedraz, Director of Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center, is on the steering committee for this year’s event. Joining Pedraz, World Market Center CEO Harvey Dondero and Ron Wackrow of The Related Companies at Las Vegas Design Center’s benefactor table will be several notable individuals from Nevada along with design industry pioneers, including Roger Thomas, Vladmir Kagan, Erica Wilson, Gloria Urban and Gail Anderson. “Participating in this incredible event presents us with an outstanding opportunity to get the word out to the entire interior design community that Las Vegas Design Center is an outstanding resource for the design industry and a viable place to do business,” Pedraz said. The event’s proceeds benefit the education fund for the interior design foundation. “We want to let the country and the interior design business community know that the Design Center here in Las Vegas is expanding,” Pedraz explained, adding that attendees for the annual event include all of the major players in the international design community, featuring showrooms and interior designers. Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center is focused on expanding business opportunities for home furnishings buyers, interior designers, architects, contract specifiers, purchasing agents and other members of the residential and contract hospitality design trade by offering new resources and valuable programs designed to serve, stimulate and elevate the design professional. Las Vegas Design Center’s goal is to create a comfortable, professional environment that facilitates creative collaborations and business endeavors for buyers and suppliers.
