AFMA Finance Division Elects New Officers Bernhardt’s Craymer to Serve as President

The Finance Division of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association elected 2002-2003 officers at its annual meeting June 6-8 in Savannah, Ga.
Peter W. Craymer, senior vice president and secretary/treasurer at Bernhardt Furniture in Lenoir, was elected president. Additional officers are Martha Vandeleest, vice president of finance and administration/treasurer at Richardson Industries in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., first vice president; and Dave Bryant, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Klaussner Furniture Industries in Asheboro, second vice president. Warren G. Lowder, vice president at Classic Design Furnishings, a subsidiary of Thomasville Furniture Industries in Thomasville, moves to chairman of the board.
The division also elected new members to its Board of Directors. Elected to serve three-year terms were Ron Downs, Taylor King Furniture, Taylorsville, N.C.; Steve Greene, Braxton Culler, High Point; Bill McKinney, Lee Industries, Hickory; and John Nelson, Gloster Furniture Co., South Boston, Va. Doug Payne of Stanley Furniture Co., Stanleytown, Va., just completed a three-year term and was elected to serve three more years.
The American Furniture Manufacturers Association is headquartered in High Point, N.C. – the furniture capital of the world – and represents more than 200 leading U.S. furniture manufacturers and an additional 250 suppliers to the industry.
