Gabberts Names Miller President

Gabberts announced that Rebecca Miller was named president of the Minneapolis based home furnishings retailer. Miller joined Gabberts in January 2006 as vice president and general manager. Miller is responsible for the strategy, vision, and overall operations of Gabberts.
Miller is a successful, proven leader with over 25 years of experience in executive management, sales and consulting positions, in high-end retail and luxury goods.
According to Jim Gabbert, chairman of Gabberts, Inc., “Since 2006, Rebecca has led the Gabberts organization through an ambitious transformation, including overseeing the development of the new Gabberts store. She is an accomplished and experienced leader who shares my vision for value and quality in both unique product offerings and how we serve our customers.”
The new Gabberts store will be unveiled in mid-February located in the Galleria in Edina. Gabberts offers design expertise and extraordinary service, comprehensive choice, limitless resources and tools to help customers create a home that reflects their personal comfort focused on the ease of assisting in defining their lifestyle. The new Gabberts features an open floor plan with an easy-to-navigate showroom organized into three major lifestyle realms showcasing several view points, to help customers experience and visualize their individual style and choices.
Prior to Gabberts, Miller was president and co-founder of Imprint Strategies Group, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in strategic initiatives focusing on human capital, processes, product and solutions, moving expenses to investments.
Miller served as director of sales, national account team, for Target Corporation, the third largest retailer in the United States. At Target she led the team responsible for building business-to-business relationships with Fortune 500 companies.
Miller also was the director of the national account team for Jostens, Inc., a leading provider of products, programs and services that help people celebrate important moments, recognize achievements and build affiliations. She led the national sales effort for the Recognition Division, which was responsible for developing business with Fortune 500 clients and for the successful turnaround and positioning of Jostens for sale in July 2003.
Miller was senior vice president, sales and client services for Right Management Consultants (now Manpower), a global human resources consulting firm with more than 220 locations worldwide. Miller was also general manager and national sales manager for FMP Studios, Inc., an international commercial photo-illustration advertising studio. Prior to that she was vice president, general manager, for Morel Jewelers, Inc., a high-end jewelry retailer in the Midwest.
Miller received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music, majoring in music with a minor in theatre from Simpson College, Indianola, Ia. She is a graduate of New York School of Interior Design and a Certified Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America, both located in New York City, NY. She attended St. Thomas, Minneapolis, MN for her MBA work.
She became a licensed realtor in Minnesota and has performed at Carnegie Hall with the Madrigal singers, performing in seven languages. She has planned and led annual European and Asian client tours to purchase art and antiques. She was the designer of the Golden Easter Eggs for the Marriot Hotel annual Golden Easter Egg Hunt and the Minnesota Symphony Ball Pins.
