Karel Exposition Management Reports Sizzling Edison Show

According to Karel Exposition Management, organizer of the "50th Edison Furniture & Accessory Market" the bi-annual show was one of the best ever. The show, the largest of its kind in the Northeast, was open to buyers, interior designers and specialty stores from the furniture industry. "50th Edison Furniture & Accessory Market" which ran from February 4 through February 6, at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center, utilized all 200,000 square feet, attracted 250 exhibitors and more than 5300 buyers from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. "Taking into account a weak economy and freezing temperatures, the Edison market was an outstanding success," claimed Larry Karel, President of Karel Exposition Management (KEM) the nation's largest producer of regional furniture and accessory trade shows. 'Edison was win-win all around. Everyone was writing business and everyone who came to the market was not disappointed with the quality and array of new merchandise that was offered. Nothing makes us happier then to walk into the hall and see smiles on everyone's faces," added Karel. According to Karel, who has been inundated with nothing but positive feedback since heading back to the company's headquarters in Aventura, Florida, the next show in Edison, August 5-7 of 2007 is "90% sold out." "In all my years in the industry, this show will stand out as being an exceptional one. Just about every exhibitor came to the show office and signed up for the next one," said Karel. The "50th Edison Furniture & Accessory Market" got off to an uplifting start when Jun H. Choi, Mayor of Edison, New Jersey attended a ribbon cutting ceremony commemorating the KEM's 50th visit to Edison and presented Karel with a proclamation. The Mayor expressed his appreciation and thanked Karel for bringing business to Edison. Joining in the ceremony were Joseph D. Cascio, General Manager, New Jersey Convention and Expo Center, Sherry Fleischner, Director of Sales, Karel Exposition Management, John Turano, John Turano & Son and Tommy Russo, Union City Mirror and Table. Both Turano and Russo have exhibited at all 50 Edison shows.
