MMPI Makes 750 Spots Available for No Charge Buyer Parking In High Point

Buyers looking for free, convenient parking in the heart of the High Point Market from Oct. 1-7, 2007 will have even more options thanks to Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI). MMPI opened its first free buyer parking lot at the corner of Lindsay and Kivett streets adjacent to Market Squareand the Suites at Market Square for the Fall 2006 High Point Market. This convenient surface lot offers parking capacity for as many as 500 vehicles in downtown High Point. For the upcoming Fall High Point Market, MMPI has added two new lots creating an additional 250 free buyer parking spots, bringing the total to 700 parking spaces. One lot is located on the adjacent corner of Lindsay and Kivett streets, across from the original lot, and the other at the corner of Green and Elm, just across from the Plaza Suites building. Buyer parking is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. “The creation of our first free buyer parking lot a year ago was so well received that we have been working diligently to find more situations like this for buyers visiting the High Point Market,” said Tom Mitchell, senior vice president and general manager MMPI High Point. “MMPI and the High Point Market are always looking for opportunities to make shopping High Point Market easier, and anything we can do to help buyers focus on their task at hand – buying – is important to us.” Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc.
