Drakeford Furniture Opens Second Showroom

Drakeford Furniture Company has opened its second showroom for trade buyers. Drakeford’s new 2,000-square-foot showroom is located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Mobile., Ala. The company also has a 5,000-square-foot showroom at the International Home Furnishings Center in High Point, N.C. “Buyers can only visit our High Point showroom four weeks out of the year,” said Billy Curtright, president of Drakeford Furniture Co. “Our new showroom will provide the opportunity for our accounts in the southern region of the country to see our products year-round. We will also be introducing new products on an on-going basis at our corporate office showroom, which will allow us to receive immediate feedback. Having a second showroom means that we won’t have to focus exclusively on the spring and fall markets.” The company introduced its first three furniture collections at last fall’s High Point Furniture Market. Drakeford imports casual and modern bedroom, dining room and occasional and home office furniture from Mexico and leather upholstery furniture from Italy, while utilizing American hardwoods and veneer. The company maintains an office and warehouse in Mexico City for quality control and factory sourcing.
