America’s oldest active professional woodworker, Thomas Montalbano, Sr. at 92 years of age is back to work after having had surgery two months ago and subsequently placed on a ventilator. Nothing can keep him away from his love and passion, “carving wood.” He is back to his old tricks as he carves our 4368 tables. Thomas has over 80 years of experience in the furniture industry. He still actively works on one of our multiple spindle carving machines. America’s oldest and finest manufacturer of French provincial, Italian baroque style, and contract furniture, is proud and elated to have our patriarch back were he belongs. After all Thomas says he has never worked a day in his life, woodworking is his hobby. Montalbano Majestic International is still a family owned and operated business that has sustained 74 years of manufacturing and restoring fine wood furniture, with all three generations currently active.
