Habersham announced that it will unveil the newest additions to the Biltmore™ Chateau Reserve Collection Chateau Reserve Collection during the October 2008 International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, NC. Ranging from grand scale case goods to elegant accents, the new designs will be featured in the special "Biltmore Habersham Home" within space MS-142, First Floor, Market Square.
Habersham became a Biltmore furniture licensee in the Spring of 2004. Since then, the company has continued to expand its collection of upscale furniture designs inspired by the art, architecture, history and hospitality that defined the landmark Asheville, N.C. estate at the turn of the century. Building on this tradition, the newest introductions reflect the exceptional design, elegance, rich detail and artistry of the license's premium brand, Biltmore Chateau Reserve.
"Our vision at Habersham is to create furniture in keeping with the Vanderbilt vision -- designs that enable the discerning individual to escape from everyday life," explains Joyce Eddy, chairman and founder, Habersham. "The quality, artistic style and versatility of our Biltmore line allow consumers to truly express their own sense of style."
To showcase the versatility of the newest designs, as well as many of the classic best-sellers within the collection, the pieces will all be featured in the Biltmore Habersham Home located within showroom's first floor space.
Inspired by the European architectural and design influences found throughout the famed 250-room French Renaissance-style chateau, the Biltmore Habersham Home will include a representation of a foyer, powder room, living, dining and keeping room, as well as a kitchen, master bed and bath suite. In addition to Biltmore pieces and other new furniture designs, the Habersham Home will also showcase the company's growing custom cabinetry capabilities and hand-styled finish options -demonstrating how these elements can all work together to bring a Grand European Casual lifestyle to today's home.
Among the new Biltmore Chateau Reserve designs from Habersham include the Biltmore Vanderbilt Entertainment Center (above left) and the Biltmore Festival de Fleurs Buffet (right). Grand in scale and design, the new entertainment center design draws its inspiration from the entertainment, hospitality and elegance Biltmore is known for - and adds a few modern twists.
The interior of the center unit includes permanent and adjustable shelving, a 5-plug internal electrical outlet and plenty of space to accommodate a plasma TV. The two side units offer European notching to accommodate three adjustable wood framed glass shelves. Like all pieces in the Habersham line, this dramatic design is available in countless rich hand-styled finish options.
Named for the popular Festival of Flowers held each spring at Biltmore, the delightful, hand-painted Festival de Fleurs Buffet is sure to bring a touch of the outdoors in. Biltmore's famed gardens, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, are filled with a wide array of flowers. The Habersham artisan team has looked to these bountiful gardens to find the inspiration for the meticulously hand-painted florals and garland accents they've brought to this fabulous, functional design. Featuring two doors and one drawer, the design also includes shelving on either side providing a perfect, hand-painted backdrop to showcase treasured accents.
Like Biltmore, Habersham provides an escape from the ordinary to the extraordinary, from the everyday to the legendary. "Our goal is to create quality partnerships that allow consumers to bring a touch of Biltmore to their homes," says Tim Rosebrock, vice president and general manager of licensing, The Biltmore Company. "Habersham truly represents today's casual elegance. The company's original designs, exceptional artistry and quality craftsmanship make it the natural choice to helm our premium Chateau Reserve brand. This distinctive collection continues to expand our reach to a broad market of dealers, designers, and ultimately discerning consumers."
Biltmore is George Vanderbilt's personal expression of taste and eclectic design. A Ming vase may sit next to a Louis XVI footstool. Habersham's creations bring that same mix of comfort and self-expression to the Biltmore Chateau Reserve target consumer, typically a style confident, affluent woman between 35-54-who is searching for unique furnishings that allow her to express her own sense of style.
