Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI) announced the addition of two new leasing directors for MMPI properties in High Point, NC, the largest home furnishings market in the world.
Sheryl (Sheri) McAdams brings with her more than 20 years of retail and manufacturing experience in the home furnishings industry. Most recently she was the southeast sales manager for Gifts & Decorative Accessories Magazine. During her long career in the home furnishings industry, McAdams worked for Pacific Rim Import Corp., Loomcraft Textile, Home Impressions, Benchcraft, Bassett, Pennsylvania House, Hickory White, Thomasville, Bradford’s, and Kittle’s.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to draw upon my past experience in gifts and accessories, textiles, and furniture to continue to enhance the offering in MMPI buildings in High Point,” said McAdams.
Brin Perryman is returning to High Point where he began his career in the home furnishings industry in the sales department at Furniture Today. During his nine years with Furniture Today, Perryman worked his way up from classified advertising director to inside sales account manager, eventually to become western regional sales manager. In 2007, Perryman left Furniture Today to become a sales manager at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.
“My entire career has been in the furniture industry,” said Perryman, “and High Point is the center of the furniture world. I am thrilled to be working for a key player in the High Point Market where I can be part of the future growth strategy of this marketplace.”
McAdams and Perryman will join two other leasing directors, Julie Messner and Jamie Gragg, who all report to Tim McGee, senior vice president and general manager of MMPI in High Point. This team is responsible for leasing 2.1 million square feet of permanent and temporary space in MMPI’s six buildings in High Point (Plaza Suites, Furniture Plaza, National Furniture Mart, Market Square/Suites at Market Square, Hamilton Market, 300 S. Main Street).
“We are thrilled to be adding two such seasoned professionals to our team,” said Tim McGee, senior vice president and general manager of MMPI in High Point. “Combined Sheri and Brin bring more than 30 years of industry experience to our leasing efforts, and we are excited to have them onboard.”
