HPU Hires Hillenbrand-Nowicki as Instructor of Interior Design

High Point University announced that Cathy Hillenbrand-Nowicki has been hired as an instructor of interior design in the Phillips School of Business at High Point University. Hillenbrand-Nowicki, who is owner and operator of Master Plan Interior Design and Consulting, Inc., has a Bachelor of Arts in art from Seton Hill College and a Master of Science in interior design from Virginia Tech. Her professional areas of expertise include commercial design, ergonomics, design sales and retailing and visual presentation. She has previous teaching experience as an interior design instructor at Virginia Tech, was an adjunct and part-time instructor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and previously served as an adjunct professor at Salem College and HPU. She also recently served as a guest lecturer at Forsyth Tech. In her new role, she will be responsible for teaching Introduction to Interior Design and Design Fundamentals to freshmen, as well as Commercial Design I to seniors. “It is an honor to have been selected to introduce the practice of interior design to the university’s freshmen, and to prepare the senior design majors for professional practice and the challenges awaiting them after graduation," Hillenbrand-Nowicki says.
