Chicago contemporary furniture store Mig and Tig announced that it donated furniture to outfit the entire house of a family in need featured on ABC's 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.' For its generous donation, Mig and Tig will be highlighted on an upcoming episode of the popular television show, which airs in more than 69 countries worldwide.
'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' contacted Mig and Tig because they were impressed by the furniture store's wide product selection and style. Since 2003, the reality television show has been captivating viewers by changing the lives of disadvantaged families from around the country.
Each episode of the home makeover show centers around a needy family and a dedicated team of contractors, designers, and workers who race against the clock to completely rebuild an entire house in just one week. Now starting its sixth season, the show airs Sunday nights on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
"We are so excited to be part of such an amazing show. As avid viewers for many years, we have been moved to tears by watching the joy that the makeover team provides for families. By partnering with 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,' we were truly able to make a difference in a needy family's life," says Vicki Semke, owner of Mig and Tig Furniture. http://www.migandtig.com.
Mig and Tig's unique product offering gives customers an opportunity to create personalized rooms through the use of customized pieces. The Chicago living room furniture store specializes in pieces with intricate details and standout features that can transform any living space. The store is also well known for its wide selection of quality fabrics, which are made from the finest materials provided by both local and international suppliers.
For its contribution to 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,' Mig and Tig partnered with many of its fine vendors to outfit the newly built home with a beautiful collection of customized furniture. The unique pieces will draw attention from viewers worldwide, and the Chicago custom furniture store is dedicating a section of its website, http://www.yourfurniturelink.com, to highlight the manufacturers of the donated products.
Although Mig and Tig can not service customers outside of the Chicago area, by featuring the vendors on its website, shoppers from around the world will have the opportunity to contact the manufacturers directly to source local retailers, reducing shipping costs as well as energy consumption. "With this addition to our site, Mig and Tig is truly a furniture link to unbelievable collections of custom furniture."
"Our vendors' partnerships helped make our experience with 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' possible. Even if customers do not make purchases through Mig and Tig, we are featuring our vendors on our website as a way of thanking them for their generosity and supporting them through this tough economic time," says Semke.
