Spring Air Announces Las Vegas Show Introductions

The Spring Air Company, one of the world’s largest mattress manufacturing companies announced that it is renewing its commitment to being “The Back Supporter” company with several new product introductions under its Back Supporter brand, which will be introduced in early February at the 2009 Winter Furniture Market in Las Vegas. The company is placing its emphasis on value-oriented bedding, which it feels is being more aggressively pursued by consumers in response to the economic downtown.
In addition to adding to the Back Supporter portfolio, Spring Air is adding skus to its popular Nature’s Rest latex line, is introducing a new adjustable bed program, and will be previewing its new licensed product with Ironman.
With the creation of the Ironman line-up, Spring Air is creating what the company is terming a new category of bedding for athletes that provide proper support and faster recovery from physical activity.
The company’s popular Back Supporter Classic line is adding three new Euro Top entrants aggressively priced at $499, $599 and $699.
Step-up brand Back Supporter Four Seasons will introduce new promotional “encased coil” sleep sets at $599 with a choice of firm and plush, and Euro Top offerings at $699 and $799.

“We are seeing a huge market response to Back Supporter as we are fast becoming the recognized value leader on the retail sales floor,” said acting CEO Steve Cumbow. “As consumer preference is moving toward greater value during these tough economic times, we are responding to our dealers by giving them even more value and more aggressive pricing to help them sell.”
In a similar vein, Spring Air will introduce its first latex mattress in its popular Nature’s Rest line with a $999 “Alluring” moniker. The Alluring offers antimicrobial and blended natural fibers, convoluted comfort foam with Nature’s Rest® Performance Latex, all meticulously placed atop our Nature’s Tech Core to provide the best conformance and support.
“Nature’s Rest continues to be our run away train. Our dealers are reporting tremendous velocity in sales of these beds and again, the consumer is responding because of the value going into the product,” he added.
Spring Air will also unveil its new Ironman bedding line-up produced under license with T3 Athletic Recovery Products. There will be three beds in the program, with price points between $1,000 and $2,000. The program will be Spring Air’s first visco-memory foam offering and will be upholstered with a Celliant® product designed to increase the oxygen levels in the body which is directly related to proper rest and recovery.
“There is nutrition, apparel and several other consumer products dedicated to athletes –but bedding has yet to be among the branded products. We’re excited to be able to bring a new offering to the market,” said Cumbow. “The Ironman lineup will utilize technology designed to give Ironman athletes and active consumers alike the quick recovery needed to live vibrant and productive lives.”
