Furniture Brands International announced that Raymond J. Johnson has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain. Mr. Johnson was previously President, Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Newell Rubbermaid.
In his new role, Mr. Johnson will have primary responsibility for all of Furniture Brands' supply chain functions to include manufacturing, engineering, sourcing, procurement, and logistics.

Mr. Johnson brings nearly 30 years of operational excellence experience including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Total Quality Management. Prior to joining Newell Rubbermaid, Mr. Johnson held executive and operational positions at Eaton Corporation, True Temper Sports, Bic Pen Corporation and Black & Decker. Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina.
