Furniture Brands International Consolidates Designer Brands Showrooms

Furniture Brands International announced that Maitland-Smith is consolidating its High Point, NC showroom and office into the Henredon facility on Eastchester Road in High Point. The move will be completed in time for the spring High Point Market. Both Maitland-Smith and Henredon are members of the Designer Brands Group of Furniture Brands. The move does not affect the leadership of each brand, with Larry Milan continuing as president of Maitland-Smith and Dan Bradley continuing as president of Henredon. “Even though the timing is aggressive, we are looking forward to having these two great brands under one roof in time for Market,” said Mr. Bradley, who also serves as president of the Designer Brands Group. “Maitland-Smith will occupy the top floor of the Eastchester showroom, which will be a great venue to showcase our unique blend of case goods, upholstery, and accessories. We also share many customers with Henredon, so this move makes sense for everyone before the upcoming Market,” said Mr. Milan. Maitland-Smith will convert its former office on Penny Road in High Point into an outlet and will close the current outlet on Tomlinson Road in High Point.
