South Shore Furniture announced that it made significant introductions at the Las Vegas furniture show. The Canada-based company presented 74 new, pieces that answer consumers’ needs for diversity and affordability. This is following significant investment to optimize its manufacturing process and continuously improve upon its top-quality design standards for the future—all for the benefit of its valued partners and customers.
South Shore Furniture’s presentation in Las Vegas allowed visitors to learn more about the company’s new production standardization practices, simplified and enhanced after-sales support, as well as the just-introduced customization program. Visitors also heard about the new South Shore Furniture plant in Juarez, Mexico, and the innovative CLIP manufacturing process which simplifies the assembling of each piece of furniture.
On the distribution front, South Shore Furniture has come up with a simple, yet effective idea: an “online gallery”. It consists of an easily integrated link on the website of selected established retailers which allows consumers to shop for furniture or buy some items on line and receive the products directly from South Shore Furniture. For the retailers, this turnkey online platform represents additional sales, potential cross-promotions, a bigger product offering and a growing consumer base—all without any extra inventory investment, labour costs, handling of shipping and returns, etc.
In addition, South Shore Furniture presented a preview of 74 new pieces, in response to an increased demand for reasonably-priced furniture created by the economic downturn. A number of these items are featured in the following collections:
Eastern Retreat with its rustic charm, traditional styling and sunny pine finish; Skyline, a complement to another collection which includes an audio-video showcase; Gascony, with its country-style panelling and a rich cherry finish that bring warmth and style to any home office; Mini Suite, for the kids, with its under-the-bed drawers and classic styling for a perfect marriage of form and function; Cakao, featuring sleek lines that are perfect for a contemporary decor and versatility which will please teens and even adults; Lullaby, with its adorable country touch and a special changing table that transforms into a suitable piece for a juvenile bedroom; and Tree House, with its gender-neutral design, matching knobs and mouldings and drawer fronts in solid pine.
After a history spanning almost 70 years, and three generations, this family-run business remains focussed on high-quality, innovation and delighted customers.
Jean Laflamme, South Shore Furniture President, sums up the results of the company’s journey: "We have been proactive in an evolving marketplace, maintained a growth in sales and are happy to be providing our top-quality furniture to several new customers.”
