Furniture First Buying Group Adds Nine To Vendor List

Furniture First, a national geographically exclusive buying cooperative, representing $450,000,000 in retail volume, has added nine supplier partners to its vendor list since June. The new suppliers, which were approved by the board of directors are: Artmaster Studios, Vernon, Calif.; Bassett Mirror Co., Bassett, Va; Bell Upholstery of Fulton, Miss. & Bean Station, Tenn.; Braemar Lighting Co., Gardena, Calif.; Clayton Marcus Furniture Co., Hickory, N.C.; Global Furniture Ind., Mooresville, N.C.; Kemp Furniture, New Bern, N.C.; Morgan Stewart, Granite Falls, N.C.; and Vanguard Studios, Vernon, Calif. The additions bring Furniture First's supplier partners to 46 vendors. Bob Anderson, Furniture First's vice president of merchandising, expects this number to increase steadily into the millennium to cover additional product categories and price points between medium and medium-high end merchandise.
